Podiatry Foot & Ankle Surgical Group of South FL is the specialty practice of Dr Sam Horowitz and Dr Adrian Akhavan who recently joined the practice after completing a three year surgical residency program specializing in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. The practice has been serving Miami Dade and Broward county since 1976. Dr. Horowitz is a board certified Foot & Ankle Surgeon and Diplomate of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons He is also a board certified pedorthic, i.e. specialist in shoe modification, construction, fit, and design. Appointments are available in Hialeah, Florida.

Three-Step Program
Step One STEP ONE
Shoe selection and modification and custom foot beds, foot orthotics, are frequently all that is needed to relieve you of your pain and discomfort. Our hand picked selection of healthy shoes, sandals, and clogs is often all you need to be up and running again.
Step Two STEP TWO
At times, when your problem has been long standing, a period of rest and rehabilitation, including sometimes physical therapy, shock wave therapy, casts, and medications, are needed to reverse the processes that have brought you to our office.
Step Three STEP THREE
Finally, when conservative care is not enough, our skills as board certified surgeons, honed over 30 years of experience, backed by continuous quality improvement and never ending education, are used to get you back on your feet.
